ONTHEGRiND BOXiNG's pound4pound and middleweight decks have been shuffled as a result of the shocking end to Saturday night's Sergio Martinez vs. Paul Williams rematch. The crushing knockout punch delivered by Martinez in the second round catapulted him to the coveted pound4pound number two position. Previous number two, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has fought once per year since returning to the sport (from a two-year retirement), with victories over a two weight classes from home Juan Manuel Marquez and a USADA-approved Sugar-free Shane Mosley.
Mayweather, who has told interviewers he is, "Not thinking about boxing right now," drops to number three. Williams, a fighter who has literally defined poundforpound since defeating Antonio Margarito for WBO World Welterweight Championship three years ago, holds on to the poundforpound #10 spot.
